Speedpaint of a Draconis chilling on some ruins, maybe watching his eggs or hatchlings, who knows.
They tend to build nests in caves and ruins or ababonded houses and other buildings.

I used some stick art for the background. I wanted to paint everything myself but I was running out of time and had to take some nessecairy shortcuts;

I also used some of *Sullivan's feather brushes, ty!

The rest was done with PS

I love these sort of images where bright objects like moons, suns or other lightsources are right behind the character, casting a strong backlight!

that looks! really, just amazing!
it creates this movie... no, scary movie feeling, where you usually would hear wolf howling, but tonight, you only have the dragon roar in the distance....

O.o Just.Amazing. I think this will be one of my fav.
In the middle of the night, under the full moon, on the abandoned ruins...
and the eerie dragon thing.
Perfect. It's a really impressive nightmare, I'll never forget. :D

plus I always think you're really good at drawing winged creatures.
